			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Noto per la sua eccezionale combinazione di durezza e tenacità, il metallo duro o widia o semplicemente WC-Co è un materiale la cui diffusione è in continuo aumento in diverse area industriali: dall&#8217;utensileria da taglio all&#8217;equipaggiamento sportivo, dai componenti anti-usura a punzoni e stampi. EPoS produce un nuovo grado di metallo duro con la più alta combinazione di tenacità (secondo Palmquist, <a title="ISO 28079:2009" href="http://www.iso.org/iso/catalogue_detail.htm?csnumber=44495" target="_blank">ISO 28079</a>) e durezza mai raggiunta.</p>
<p>A fianco ai metalli duri tradizionali abbiamo sviluppato una nuova composizione di cermet con una straordinaria resistenza ad abrasione e tenacità (HV30&gt;1600 &amp; Kic&gt;17 MPa*m^-0.5) che può essere impiegato come utensile da taglio nudo o rivestito.</p>
<p><em>Known for their exceptional combination of hardness and toughness hard metal, widia or simply WC-Co is a material in continous growth and expansion in many areas of industry: from cutting tools to recreational, from wear components to plungers and dies. EPoS produces a new hard metal grade with the highest combination of Palmquist toughness (<a title="ISO 28079:2009" href="http://www.iso.org/iso/catalogue_detail.htm?csnumber=44495" target="_blank">ISO 28079</a>) and hardness ever reached.</em></p>
<p><em>Next to traditional hard metal compositions we have developed new compositions of cermets with an outstanding abrasion resistance and toughness (HV30&gt;1600 &amp; Kic&gt;17 MPa*m^-0.5) which can be employed as cutting tools with or without coating.</em></p>

<p>Inserto con raggio da 0.8 mm in metallo duro EPoS di grado P sinterizzato in 100 ms e brasato su stelo di acciaio.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We recreate materials. Stiffness and conductivity can be re-designed and combined to increase performance. Intermediate and re-disigned materials such as aluminium-steels or titanium-steels combined in two distinct phases inside your composite. This allows to choose your Young&#8217;s Modulus or your Thermal or Electrical Conductivity. </p>
<p>Net shape or near net shape high precision (thickness +/- 0.04) shapes such as Cylinders, Cubes, Rods can be obtained. Densities between 70 to 99% of theoretical densities are produceable.</p>
<p>Materials may have almost any micro-structural feature. Powders from 0.5 mm to 40 microns in size can be used. Grain size down to 20 nm are preserved in size far better than any competitors&#8217; technologies. </p>
<p>You may want to embed different materials, one inside the other. Gold inside steel, Copper in Silver or Tungsten in Titanum? If you can think it we can make it.</p>

Materiali intermedi ed ibridi come compositi acciai-alluminio o titanio acciaio con microstrutture omogenee e plasticità residua sono quasi immediati con la tecnologia EPoS per permettervi di rimodulare il modulo di Young così come la densità o la conducibilità elettrica o termica dei vostri componenti.</p>
<p>Cilindri, cubi, barrette net shape o near net shape con alta precisione (spessore con +/- 0.04 mm, diametro con +/- 0.003 mm) possono essere ottenuti con densità tra 70 e 99%  delle densità teoriche.</p>
<p>Materiali con quasi ogni tipo di caratteristica microstrutturale. A partire da polveri di 20 micron così come da 0.5 mm. Le dimensioni dei grani possono scendere fino a pochi nanometri e possono essere mantenute intatte come nessun&#8217;altra tecnologia rivale.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a title="EPoS srl" href="http://www.eposproject.eu" target="_blank">EPoS</a> si insedia nella sede torinese del <a title="CNR-ISTEC Torino" href="http://www.to.istec.cnr.it/" target="_blank">CNR-ISTEC</a> (Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerce, Istituto di Scienza e Tecnologia dei Materiali Ceramici) all&#8217;interno del comprensorio di ricerca di Strada delle Cacce 73 a Torino.</p>
<p>Fu Istituto per la Lavorazione dei Metalli ad Orbassano in collaborazione con il <a title="Centro Ricerche Fiat" href="http://www.crf.it" target="_blank">Centro Ricerche Fiat</a> divenne poi CNR-ISTEC e si trasferì nell&#8217;attuale sede distaccata di Torino dove lavorano alla caratterizzazione tribologica e meccanica degli inserti da taglio per asportazione di truciolo.</p>

<p><em>Once Center for Metals Processing at Orbassano (Turin area) in a joint venture with </em><a title="Fiat Research Center" href="http://www.crf.it" target="_blank"><em>Fiat&#8217;s Research Center</em></a><em>, it later became CNR-ISTEC once moved to the present day headquarters where they concentrate con tribological and mechanical characterization of cutting tools.</em></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>EPoS</strong> è l&#8217;acronimo di <em>Electron Power Sintering</em>, <a title="Sinterizzazione" href="http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinterizzazione" target="_blank">sinterizzazione</a> grazie alla potenza degli <a title="Elettroni" href="http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elettroni" target="_blank">elettroni</a>. EPoS è un nuovo processo produttivo, evoluzione e miglioramento delle tecniche precedenti che consente di ottenere rapidamente sia materilali tradizionali sia materiali con caratteristiche innovative e prima neanche immaginabili. Materiali <a title="Metastabilità" href="http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metastabile" target="_blank">metastabili</a>, nanostrutturati o nanocristallini composti da un insieme di <a title="Cristalli" href="http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cristallo" target="_blank">cristalli</a> di dimensione inferiore a 100 nanometri (un milionesimo di millimetro), compositi a matrice metallica, compositi metallo-metallo a più componenti e con caratteristiche macroscopiche mediate tra i diversi componenti. E&#8217; un processo in fase di industrializzazione che libera la creatività del metallurgista.</p>
<p><strong>EPoS</strong> è un&#8217;idea innovativa che sta diventando realtà grazie alla EPoS srl, neo fondata start up dall&#8217;<a title="Incubatore di Impresa - Politecnico di Torino" href="http://i3p.it" target="_blank">Incubatore di Impresa I3P</a> del <a title="Politecnico di Torino" href="http://www.polito.it" target="_blank">Politecnico di Torino</a>.</p>
<p><strong>EPoS</strong> è un business plan, premiato con il primo posto alla <a title="Vincitori della Start Cup Piemonte" href="http://www.i3p.it/start-cup-I-vincitori" target="_blank">Start Cup Piemonte 2008</a> e con il primo posto al <a title="Premio Nazionale dell'Innovazione" href="http://www.pnicube.it/pni.html" target="_blank">Premio Nazionale dell&#8217;Innovazione</a></p>
